Rubberneckers are people who slow down their vehicles and stare at something out of the norm, often causing traffic jams. To describe these people, one could use words such as gawkers, spectators, onlookers, sightseers, voyeurs, watchers, or curious individuals. Other similar terms that may apply include oglers, rubbernecks, rubbernecking crowds, or simply people who can't resist the urge to look. While rubbernecking can be annoying to those who are trying to get somewhere quickly, it's a natural human tendency to be curious and interested in what's happening around us. Whether we like it or not, rubberneckers will always exist.
