Singularitarianism is a philosophy centered around the idea that the exponential growth of technology and artificial intelligence will eventually lead to a singularity, a point in time where technological progress will rapidly accelerate and fundamentally change human civilization. While there are currently no widely recognized synonyms for singularitarianism, the concept is closely related to other futurist schools of thought such as transhumanism, extropianism, and posthumanism. These movements also focus on the relationship between humans and technology, exploring the potential of technology to enhance human capabilities and even transcend biological limitations. Ultimately, all of these philosophies share a belief in the transformative power of technology and the importance of preparing for a future where technology is an increasingly dominant force.
