Skurfing, the act of being towed behind a boat while standing on a board and using it to ride waves, has been around for decades. However, depending on the region or group of people, it may be referred to by a different name. Wake surfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, and even jet skiing all involve some form of being towed behind a boat on a board or skis. In some areas, skurfing is simply called board riding or tow surfing. Regardless of the term used, the thrill of being pulled behind a boat and riding the waves is universal and enjoyed by many.
