Spirits of Turpentine, also known as Turpentine Oil, is a colorless, flammable liquid with a distinctive odor. It is commonly used as a solvent, a paint thinner, and a cleaning agent. However, there are different synonyms that can be used in place of the phrase "Spirits of Turpentine." The most common synonyms include Turpentine Distillate, Wood Turpentine, Gum Turpentine, and Pine Oil. These synonyms are used interchangeably to describe the same product but with different degrees of purity. For instance, Wood Turpentine is obtained by distilling the resin from pine trees while Gum Turpentine is obtained from the sapwood of a tree. In general, they all share similar properties.
