Sterculia Rupestris, also known as cave tree, is a tree species found in Madagascar. It is commonly used in traditional medicine to treat various ailments. In some regions, it is also used as a source of timber for construction and furniture-making. Sterculia Rupestris belongs to the family of Sterculiaceae, which includes over 150 other species of trees and shrubs. Some other synonyms for Sterculia Rupestris include the Malagasy names, "voankazo" and "vohongona," as well as "rocks sterculia" and "Madagascar almond." Despite its various names, Sterculia Rupestris remains an important plant species, both culturally and economically, in Madagascar.
