Talk fests, or discussions that seem to go on endlessly, can be described in a variety of ways using synonyms. They may be called a gabfest, a chinwag, or a powwow. Alternatively, they could be described as a colloquy, a dialogue or a conversation. Another option is to refer to them as a symposium, a conference or a meeting of minds. In some cases, they may be characterized as a debate, a discourse or a roundtable discussion. No matter what terminology is used, the bottom line is that these types of conversations can be both informative and exhausting at the same time.
