Teucrium canadense, also known as Canadian germander, is a flowering plant native to North America. It can also be referred to as wood sage, hardhack, or American sage. The plant belongs to the mint family and can grow up to three feet in height. Wood sage has traditionally been used for medicinal purposes, including treating gastrointestinal issues and respiratory problems. The leaves of this plant can be dried and used to make tea, or applied topically for skin irritations.
