Thuja Orientalis, commonly known as Oriental Arborvitae, is a type of evergreen tree native to East Asia. It belongs to the family Cupressaceae and is highly regarded for its ornamental appearance, needle-like leaves, and conical shape. Thuja Orientalis has several synonyms that are used interchangeably. These include Platycladus orientalis, Biota orientalis, Thuja platycladus, Arborvitae orientalis, and Chinese Arborvitae. The different synonyms of the Thuja Orientalis tree correspond to the various classification systems used by botanists. Nevertheless, they all refer to the same evergreen conifer tree that is widely cultivated for its aesthetic appeal and as a natural screen or hedge plant.
