Trumponomics, a term coined to describe the economic policies of former US President Donald Trump, has been in the limelight for years now. However, there are various synonyms that can be used to describe the same, such as Trump-era economics, Trumpian economics, MAGAnomics (Make America Great Again), or simply the Trump economy. These terms are often used interchangeably by economists, policymakers, and market participants to refer to the same set of economic policies that aimed to increase employment, reduce taxes, increase infrastructure spending, and promote trade protectionism. While the term Trumponomics may have been a popular buzzword during the administration, its use has diminished in recent years with the change in leadership.
