It is transmitted by bites from infected mites and is characterized by symptoms such as fever, headache, and muscle pain.
Other synonyms for Tsutsugamushi Disease include bush typhus, tsutsugamushi fever, tsutsugamushi syndrome, or Japanese river fever. In addition, it may also be referred to as chiggers disease, because the mites that transmit the bacteria are often referred to as chiggers.
