Tuberculoid Leprosy is a chronic granulomatous disease that leads to severe nerve damage and skin lesions. Also known as Indeterminate Leprosy, it is characterized by the presence of large, flat, numb lesions or nodules on the skin, as well as the involvement of peripheral nerves. Other synonymous terms might include paucibacillary leprosy, which refers to the low bacterial load in the patient's body; borderline tuberculoid leprosy, which describes a form of the disease that falls between the more benign tuberculoid and the more severe lepromatous leprosy; and early tuberculoid leprosy, which indicates the earliest stages of the illness. All of these terms describe different aspects of the same disease and are used interchangeably by medical professionals.
