Tungusic language is a term used to refer to the languages spoken by the Tungusic peoples, a group of people primarily found in Northeast Asia. This term is often used interchangeably with the term Manchu-Tungusic languages, considering the significant population of Manchu-speaking people in the region. Such languages include Evenki, Oroqen, Nanai, Orok, Udege, and more. Some Tungusic languages share similarities in syntax and vocabulary with the Mongolic language family. Though the number of Tungusic language speakers is dwindling, efforts are being made to promote and preserve these native languages through education and cultural programs.
