Union bug is a term commonly used to refer to a small, circular label or emblem that indicates a product or object was made by workers who belong to a labor union. While the term union bug may be familiar to those in the unionized labor industry, not everyone uses (or necessarily understands) the term. Synonyms for the union bug include union-made tag, union emblem, union label, union symbol, and union stamp. Essentially, any term that conveys the message that a product is created by union workers can be used in place of union bug. These labels and emblems serve as an important visual cue to consumers who may wish to support fair labor practices.
