The Vena Laryngea is a small vein that runs along the larynx in the neck. Other terms used to describe this vein include the Laryngeal vein, Superior laryngeal vein and Internal laryngeal vein. While minor variations in clinical usage can exist, all of these terms describe the same vessel and are used interchangeably in medical contexts. As a small blood vessel, the Vena Laryngea is less commonly mentioned than other more prominent veins in the neck such as the jugular and carotid. However, it remains an important structure for maintaining blood flow and oxygenation in the larynx.
