Weber Christian Disease is a rare condition characterized by the inflammation of fat cells and blood vessels. Also known as relapsing febrile nodular panniculitis, this disease primarily affects the subcutaneous fat tissue. Though it is a less-known condition, there are several synonymous terms referring to this disorder. These synonyms include relapsing febrile nodular nonsuppurative panniculitis, relapsing nodular panniculitis, relapsing nodular nonsuppurative panniculitis, and relapsing panniculitis. All these terms serve to describe the same underlying disease, with its hallmark symptoms being recurrent fever, painful nodules on the skin, and inflammation of the fat layer. Though there is no cure for Weber Christian Disease, treatment focuses on managing symptoms and improving the patient's quality of life.
