A wide-body aircraft is typically defined as an aircraft with a cabin width of more than 5 meters. The term is most commonly associated with commercial passenger airliners that have two aisles, typically seated with three, four or five seats in each row. However, there are several synonyms for the term "wide-body aircraft." The most common are "twin-aisle aircraft" due to their two aisles, or "jumbo jets" which refers specifically to the large Boeing 747 model. Other terms include "wide-body jet," "wide-body airliner," and "wide-cabin aircraft." Whatever the name, wide-body aircraft provide an enhanced travel experience for passengers and allow airlines to transport more people and cargo over longer distances.
