Young bulls are usually referred to as "heifers" or "steers" in the agricultural industry when they are not yet considered mature. These terms differentiate between the genders of the animals, with heifers being young female cows and steers being young male cattle that have been castrated. "Calves" is another synonym for young bulls that are newborn or less than a year old. Additionally, the term "yearlings" is often used to describe young bulls that have reached a year of age but have yet to fully mature. Other terms used to describe young bulls include "juveniles", "adolescents" and "youthful males".
