Yugo-nostalgia is a term used to describe a longing for Yugoslavia, the former socialist state that existed from 1945 to 1992. Synonyms for Yugo-nostalgia include Yugoslavism, a belief in the importance of Yugoslavia or a a preference for the Yugoslav system; Titoism, a political ideology named after the former Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito; and Yugonostalgie, a French variation of the term. Other related terms include Yugosphere, a region that includes former Yugoslav countries and their diaspora, and Yugofuturism, an artistic movement that seeks to explore and revive the cultural heritage of Yugoslavia.
