Albugo, a fungal disease that attacks plants, may also be known by other names such as white rust or white blister. Both terms refer to the distinctive white spots or blisters that appear on the leaves of plants as a result of albugo infection. In addition, albugo may also be referred to as Pseudoperonospora cubensis, which is the scientific name for the causal agent of cucumber white blister disease. Regardless of the term used, albugo should be addressed as soon as it is observed in order to prevent further damage to the plant and ensure its continued health and productivity.
