Alphonse Capone, also known as Scarface, was an infamous mob boss and gangster in Chicago during the 1920s and 1930s. He gained notoriety for his involvement in organized crime, which included bootlegging, gambling, and prostitution. Other synonyms for Alphonse Capone include "Big Al," "Public Enemy No. 1," and "the King of Siam." Despite being the target of numerous arrests and convictions, Capone remained a powerful figure until his downfall in the early 1930s. He was eventually sentenced to prison for tax evasion and spent the latter part of his life suffering from syphilis and other ailments before his death in 1947.
