Common Purslane, also known as Portulaca oleracea, is a flowering plant that is widely-distributed across the world. It has a variety of common synonyms depending on where it is being referred to. Some of these synonyms include Pigweed, Little Hogweed, Ma Chi Xian in Chinese, and Verdolaga in Spanish. In India, it is commonly called Kulfa, while in Indonesia and Malaysia, it is known as Rumput Krokot. In Japan, it's called Nomi-Houri and in Korea, it is referred to as Mo-Gun.
