Cytisus Multiflorus, commonly known as Spanish Broom or Tagasaste, is a plant species of the Fabaceae family. This evergreen plant is native to North Africa, but has since spread across different parts of the world. In different countries where it has been introduced, Spanish broom has picked up different names due to the local dialects. In Spain, it is called "Espinillo Blanco" while in France, it is known as "Genêts à balais". Other synonyms of the plant include Canary Island Broom, Sweet Broom, and Piorno Español.
