When speaking of a displaced person, we may also use the term "refugee", which is commonly used when referring to people who are forced to leave their homeland due to war, natural disasters, or other violent circumstances. In some cases, a "migrant" may also be used to describe someone who is displaced but is not fleeing persecution or war. "Exile" may also be used, which implies a forced removal from one's homeland and the inability to return. Other terms include "stateless person", "dispossessed person", and "internally displaced person" for those who have been forced to leave their homes but are still residing within their own country.
