Dvaita Vedanta is a philosophical concept in Hinduism that asserts the existence of duality or dualism in the creation of the universe. This term has a few synonyms or alternative names as well. Dvaita is also known as Tattvavada, meaning the doctrine of reality. It is also referred to as Bheda Abheda, which means the philosophy of unity in diversity. In addition, it is also known as Bhakti Vedanta, emphasizing the devotional aspect of this philosophy. Another synonym is Madhva Vedanta, named after the 13th-century philosopher and theologian, Sri Madhvacharya, who founded this school of thought.
