While most of the other Irish papers merely reproduced the amateur war criticisms of Fleet Street, the editor of eire, assuming that English newspapers were giving only one side of the case, attempted an independent study of the situation, which was made to appear much less favourable to the Allies than was asserted by other Irish papers.
