Family Loxomataceae is a rare family of fungi that belongs to the order Sordariales. This fungal family is found in tropical and subtropical regions and is characterised by its distinctive features such as small, brightly coloured fruiting bodies and spore-bearing structures. While there are no synonyms for the Family Loxomataceae, there are several species within the family that are also referred to as the Loxomataceae. Some of these species include Loxomataceae camptospora, Loxomataceae ciliata, Loxomataceae clerci, Loxomataceae cupsularis, Loxomataceae malabarica and Loxomataceae rhizophila. These species share similar features with the Family Loxomataceae and are often used interchangeably.
