Gurdwara is a term used in Sikhism to refer to a house of worship. However, there are other words that can be used synonymously with Gurdwara, depending on the region and language. In Punjabi language, Gurdwara is often referred to as Dharamshala or Sikh Deodi. In other parts of India, it is called Nanakshahib or Sachkhand. Some people also use the term Sangatpangat, which refers to the Sikh community gathered in a place of worship. Regardless of the term used, Gurdwara represents the Sikh belief of the oneness of God and constitutes an essential aspect of Sikhism.
