The Khoisan language family is a group of languages spoken in southern Africa. In this family, it includes several different languages, such as Ju, !Kung, and Nama. The Khoisan people utilize clicking sounds in their languages, which sets them apart from other linguistic groups. The term "San" is often used interchangeably with Khoisan, as San is a broad term for a group of hunter-gatherers indigenous to southern Africa who speak Khoisan languages. Additionally, the term "Bushmen" is also used as a synonym for the Khoisan language, as it is a colloquial name for the indigenous people who originated in the Kalahari Desert region.
