Leymus condensatus, commonly known as Great Basin wildrye or Nevada bluegrass, is a perennial grass species native to North America. It is a key component of the vegetation cover in arid regions of western North America, where it grows in dry, rocky soils and along the edges of streams and lakes. Other synonyms for Leymus condensatus include Agropyron condensatum, Elymus cinereus, and Hordeum cinereum. These synonyms are often used interchangeably with Leymus condensatus, depending on the taxonomic classification system in use. Despite the different names, all of these taxa refer to the same species of grass, which is an important component of many ecosystems across the Great Basin and westwards into California and Oregon.
