Multiple Sclerosis Functional Composite (MSFC) is an essential tool for assessing the functioning of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). However, several other terms can be used as synonyms for MSFC. Some of the alternative terms include Comprehensive MS Rating Scale (CMRS), Neurostatus (NS) assessment, and Multiple Sclerosis Severity Score (MSSS). In addition, the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) and the Multiple Sclerosis Quality of Life (MSQOL) questionnaire also serve as alternatives to MSFC. These various terms help clinicians in assessing the severity and distribution of functional impairment among MS patients. They also aid in determining the course of treatment and monitoring its effectiveness.
