However, dancers have found inventive ways to sidestep the stigma surrounding the word "nude". Terms like "exotic dancing" and "adult entertainment" have become popular synonyms for nude dancing. Some strip clubs also set their own vocabulary, using expressions such as "gentleman's club", "peep show", or "topless club". Additionally, burlesque dancing, pole dancing, and go-go dancing can all, at times, be associated with nude dancing. Whatever the title, the act of nude dancing continues to stir up controversy while simultaneously generating interest and profit.
