How can we reconcile " individuality " and " otherness ". How do we bring together two dialectic poles: 'me' and the 'other'. Building up one's " personality " is crucial and consequently self-esteem is required. By listening to the others, by assessing one's life experience, by acknowledging self-regard and amour-propre, open-mindedness can grow generously. Being sensitive to the others, helps to move forward, opens horizons, increases receptiveness and dignity.
