The Maldives is a popular tourist destination known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and abundant marine life. Additionally, the Maldives is a member of the Commonwealth, and therefore can be called the Commonwealth of Maldives. The country is also sometimes referred to as Dhivehi Raajje, which is its name in the local Dhivehi language.
