Royal Poinciana, a stunning flowering tree native to Madagascar, is known for its vibrant red-orange flowers. The tree is also referred to by a variety of synonyms, including Flamboyant tree, Flame tree, Peacock flower tree and Gulmohar tree in India. In Brazil, it is known as the "Flor-do-fogo" or "flower of fire", while in Malayalam language it is referred to as 'Kenjiram'. The tree has significant cultural and symbolic significance in many cultures, revered for its beauty and association with strength and resilience. Despite the name it is not actually a part of the Poinciana genus, and is in fact classified as Delonix regia.
