Rubus flagellaris, also known as Northern dewberry or Common dewberry, is a species of flowering plant in the rose family. This plant is widely distributed in North America, and it has many synonyms or common names depending on the region or locality. Some of the common synonyms for Rubus flagellaris include creeping raspberry, trailing blackberry, low blackberry, running blackberry, wild red raspberry, red-stemmed raspberry, and dewberry. Apart from its edible fruits, Rubus flagellaris has also been used as a medicinal herb by various native American tribes.
