Santims, or centimes, are a monetary unit used in several countries around the world. They are often referred to as "cents" in English-speaking countries such as the United States and Canada. In Europe, they may be referred to as "eurocents" or "pennies." In some countries, such as Russia, they are called "kopeks," while in others, such as Turkey, they are known as "kurus." Regardless of the name, santims or cents are small denominations that make up larger currencies and are widely used for everyday transactions such as buying a coffee or paying for public transport.
