"Shaking palsy" is a medical condition that affects the nervous system; it is also known as Parkinson's Disease. There are several synonyms for this condition, including paralysis agitans, Parkinsonism, and primary Parkinsonism. These terms are frequently used to describe the characteristic tremors, rigidity, and motor impairments associated with the disorder. Additionally, other conditions such as Lewy body dementia and Multiple System Atrophy share similar symptoms with Parkinson's and are often considered to be related conditions. While there is currently no cure for Parkinson's Disease, medications and therapies are available to manage symptoms and improve quality of life for those affected by this condition.
