A space walk, also known as an EVA (Extravehicular Activity), can be described as the action of leaving the interior of a spacecraft while in space. Although the term "space walk" is widely used, there are other phrases that can be used to refer to this type of activity. These include "extravehicular excursion," "spacewalk excursion," "spacewalk activity," "spacewalk operation," and "spacewalk sortie." These synonyms are often used interchangeably by astronauts and space enthusiasts alike and help to provide a variety of ways to describe this incredible feat of human exploration outside of the confines of a spacecraft.
