Tetartanopia, which is also known as anomalous trichromatism, refers to an eye condition where an individual has difficulty distinguishing between colors. Although the technical term for this condition is tetartanopia, it is commonly referred to as color blindness. Synonyms for tetartanopia include chromatic blindness, color deficiency, and Daltonism. The condition is genetic and most commonly affects males, with around 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women having some level of color blindness. While there is no cure for color blindness, there are certain glasses and filters that can enhance color perception for those with the condition.
