Thaddeus Kosciusko was a Polish-Lithuanian military engineer who fought for the independence of the United States. He is known for his contribution in the Revolution War, particularly in the Battle of Saratoga. Apart from that, he was also a freedom fighter who stood up against the Russian domination of his native country. There are few widely recognized synonyms for the name Thaddeus Kosciusko, however, some popular ways to reference him are "Tadeusz Kościuszko" in Polish, his native language. Additionally, he is sometimes referred to as "the hero of two worlds" due to his efforts in both the American and Polish wars for independence.
