Traditional Oriental Medicine (TOM) is a holistic approach to healing that has been practiced for thousands of years in Asia. TOM aims to restore balance and harmony to the body by using herbal medicine, acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and other techniques. There are several other terms used to describe TOM, including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), East Asian Medicine (EAM), and Oriental Medicine (OM). Furthermore, there are other synonymous terms used in the field of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) which includes Traditional Korean Medicine, Kampo Medicine, Unani Medicine, and Ayurveda.
