Agalinis is a genus of flowering plants that belongs to the Orobanchaceae family. Commonly called "false foxgloves" or "gerardias," the agalinis genus contains about 60 species and is distributed across North and Central America. There are many synonyms for the agalinis plant, including Gerardia, Aureolaria, Hemianthus, Seymeria, and Erythranthe. These synonyms have been used interchangeably in different regions and for different species of the plant.
