The Asian Crocodile, also known as the Siamese Crocodile, is a fascinating reptile found in several countries across Asia. It is one of the few crocodile species that inhabit freshwater habitats, such as rivers, lakes, and marshes. Apart from the names mentioned above, the Asian Crocodile has several synonyms. It is sometimes referred to as the Malaysian Freshwater Crocodile, Chinese Alligator, or the Dwarf Crocodile. In Thailand, it is called black crocodile due to its dark skin color. In Vietnam, it is known as cocodril dâu trắng, and in Cambodia, it is called brosok. Despite its many names, this species is critically endangered due to habitat loss and overhunting.
