When we talk about "being at home in", we usually refer to feeling comfortable and familiar with a particular environment or situation. However, there are several antonyms that describe the opposite of this state. For instance, feeling "alienated" means feeling disconnected or estranged from one's surroundings. Another antonym, "unfamiliar", relates to feeling uncertain or unaccustomed to a place or situation. "Disoriented" or "confused" also suggest a sense of being lost or dislocated. Lastly, "uncomfortable" or "awkward" describe feelings of unease or discomfort in one's environment. Regardless of the antonym used, being at home in a situation is a desirable state that allows us to relax and connect with our environment.
