Mount McKinley, also known as Denali, is the highest peak in North America. The name Denali means "the high one" in the Athabaskan language. Mount McKinley was originally named after William McKinley, the 25th President of the United States. However, in 2015, President Barack Obama officially renamed the peak back to Denali, restoring its original name. In addition, the mountain has been referred to by other names over the years, including Bolshaya Gora, Sultana, and Densmore's Mountain. Despite the various names, Denali remains a majestic symbol of Alaska and a challenging climb for mountaineers around the world.
