Mt. McKinley, located in Denali National Park in Alaska, is the highest peak in North America, measuring 20,310 feet in height. Its native name is Denali, which means "The Great One" in Athabaskan, and it is also commonly referred to as Mount Denali by some Alaskans. Other names for Mt. McKinley include Doleika, Karjiang, and Bolshaya Gora in other cultures. The mountain was named in honor of William McKinley, 25th President of the United States, but in 2015, its native name of Denali was officially recognized and restored by the U.S. government.
