Pavo Muticus, commonly known as the green peafowl, is a bird species found in Southeast Asia. Synonyms for this species include Pavo Spicifer, Pavo Imperator, and Pavo Nepalensis. These synonyms reflect the variations that have been observed in the green peafowl populations. Pavo Spicifer, for instance, is mainly found in northern Vietnam, while Pavo Imperator is found in the Philippines. Pavo Nepalensis, on the other hand, is mainly found in Nepal. Despite the variations, these synonyms refer to the same species, which is characterized by its vibrant green feathers, iridescent blue-green head, and long tail feathers with eye-spots.
