Yaupon holly, also known as the cassina holly, is a small evergreen tree or shrub that is native to the southeastern United States. This plant is well-known for its use in landscaping and making holly tea. In some regions, it is also referred to as the inkberry holly, the dahoon holly or the evergreen holly. In addition to these names, it is also known as the Indian holly, Christmas berry or simply, holly. Regardless of its name, the yaupon holly is a versatile and hardy plant that is prized for its glossy, green leaves and vibrant red berries.
