NEET is a word commonly used to describe individuals who are not in education, employment or training. However, there are several synonyms that can be used to describe this group of people such as unemployed, inactively looking for work, not in the labor force, jobless, idle, inactive, unoccupied and disengaged. These words all relate to the same concept of people who are not currently working or attending school. Although they may differ slightly in their connotations, they all refer to the same group of individuals who are not actively pursuing work or education.
