Neoceratodus is a genus of prehistoric lungfish that lived during the Late Jurassic and Early Cretaceous periods. This genus was first discovered and named by the paleontologist Albert Günther in 1871. Neoceratodus is commonly referred to as the Queensland lungfish, due to the species' current distribution throughout the Australian state of Queensland. Additionally, it is also known by the synonymous name Ceratodus, which translates to "horn-toothed" in Greek.
